Built-in belt scales

Belt scales from MTS weigh exactly, are robust and solidly manufactured and available in numerous variants – suitable for belt widths from 400 mm and feed rates from 2 t/h, in legal-for-trade and non-legal-for-trade versions.

The experience of over 30 years has gone into the development of the MTS belt scale series EBW 10, EBW 20 and ESW 2.3. As a manufacturer, MTS MessTechnik also offers the possibility of adapting the belt scales for special requirements.

For example, belt scales in mobile screening and crushing plants are exposed to significantly higher loads than in stationary belt conveyors. The EBW 10-HD Mobile belt scale is especially designed for this mobile plants: a special, reinforced weighing frame with a robust load cell provides effective protection during operation and also during transport of the plant.

Conveyor discharge weigher CDW

The conveyor discharge weigher CDW is ideally suited for the continuous recording of throughput quantities from 25 m³/h. The scale is installed at the discharge point of a belt conveyor and collects the conveyed material in the hopper, where it is weighed.

This static weighing achieves a very high measuring accuracy of +/- 0.2%. The CDW is often used to determine the quantity of recycled metals or other valuable raw materials.

So, the CDW scale is an addition to classic built-in belt scales if these cannot be used due to the low feed rate, the bulk materials properties or the installation situation.

Weighing of apron conveyor and containers with LMB 490

The weighing of a pivoting apron conveyor and a movable container – these are two of many applications which a load cell proves its worth. In all cases, extreme robustness and stability, even against dynamic forces/ lateral forces, are required.

The extremely robust load cells LMB 490 are used for such heavy-duty applications. The load cell is firmly mounted without any horizontal or vertical movement. The LMB 490 can therefore be used especially in mobile installations.

Thus, weighing of apron conveyors and movable containers is possible – despite the very high loads and transverse loads occurring there.

Bunker weighing with VC 3500/ LCM 460

The VC 3500 and LCM 460 are weighing modules with a movable top plate and integrated lift-off protection. They are ideally used for continuous weight and quantity measurement in silos and vessels or for weighing of bunker systems with discharge activator.

The modules can be mounted directly between the bunker and substructure. Although, the special design of the module ensures optimal force transmission and high lift-off and lateral load safety – without additional steering and lashing mechanisms.
